Fuel Pump Location

Well heres my situation my 94 325I just quits randomly, i get spark, loads of compression. It usualy happons when i park on a steep driveway and then gets cold. Then randomly after holding the starter on for 4 minutes a week or 2 later the thing fires up sputters idles like shit for a while then runs perfect. I'm thinking its an intermient problem with the fuel pump. It doesn't read a code at all which is strange. I cant hear the fuel pump but I couldn never. I replaced the filter a month back when it did this same problem. I was wondering whats a way to test my fuel pump. The question of the day is also.... Where is the fuel pump???? Is there any way I can test if i'm getting fuel where its needed?

I think you are in the wrong forum....This is for 1999 and up 3 series cars....but someone here MAY be able to help you....
