Just moved to NJ - a state with a front plate requirement. However, there's no bracket for the plate on the front of my 2000 328ci and no knock-out holes to add one.

I live in NH where they are required as well. If you get the factory bracket it screws right into the bumper. It will suck if you move somewhere that they are not required b/c you will have to get the holes fixed in the bumper. With the bracket painted the same color of the car it doesn't look that bad. Here is a pic of what it looks like with it on. Good luck

Thanks for the info. Is this something that has to be done at the dealership level? Nothing I can do myself,eh?

If you know how to work a power drill it is easily something you can do on your own!
