Front passeneger speaker not working????

Hi all, i got a problem with my front passenger door speaker.
i have a 1999 bmw 323i. basically the speaker just doesnt work, ive tried replacing the speaker but still nothing. all other speakers are fine. has enyone experienced the same problem? is there anything i can do to fix this? many thanks. mazza

Maybe the speaker lead is broken or cut.

ive traced it back to the head unit but couldnt find anything wrong with the cables. just thinking there might be a simple answer to this problem before i start ripping the whole thing out lol.

outriggen is on a distinguished road
check the wiring at the factory amp. drivers side of trunk. remove the plastic shelf, fold back the carpeting, then there are 4 8mm bolts that hold the amp to the frame. use a test light to check them.

dont want to sound stupid tho maybe i am but ive just looked in the back and couldnt find anything that might resemble an amp. does anyone have a pic of what i need to look for? many thanks
