Front License Plate Removal? - BMW Forum

I remember someone posting about removing the the black strip that hold the front license a while back, but I cannot find the thread. Can someone please guide me to it?

Also, I found the black strip on bavauto.com. Is that strip ready to install when it comes in or does it need to be painted? Does any one have DIY found getting the old strip off and putting the new strip on?

The strip come in black. It is ready to install, unless you have body-colored mouldings. No DIY, sorry.

Thanks though, actually I called the BMW dealership today and they had it in stock. The price was not bad at all either, buying the strip from bavauto (including shipping) would have cost more. I went and picked it up. Just need to take the other one off and snap the new piece on.
