front axle questions - BMW Forum

Hi everyone,
my brother is selling me an 04 325xi for $8800 it just might need a few things like the front axle and alternator (chirping sound so I will check the waterpump and pulleys as well like I have read here). I also purchased the Bentley book, so is there any seals, bolts or anything on top of the front axles when you do the process that is recommended to do?

p.s. also where can I purchase tool 332 111/116/117 for cheaper than the dealership?

Not sure how close you and your Brother are.... But doesn't sound like your getting the good end of this deal.... If your dropping 9K off the break... and it sounds like your have to do complete cooling system overhaul (if u do the water pump might as well do everything involved).. And axle (bushings, brakes, rotors) with the other items..... You might want to shop around.... If your going to get bent... Might as well be a stranger....
