fold down seats won't close/lock

anyone know how to repair the fold down seat? the release lever has no tension and the seat will not close. a cable is coming out of the lever and i guess the mechanism works something like a bicycle gear.

the fold down seats in my Coupe have to be shut firmly.

it took me awhile to get the right force behind the seat.

maybe it is not broken but just needs to be closed harder

If it is still under warranty I would take it in and have them check it --- last thing you want is an accident were the seats fly forward :-)
