My girlfriend has a 2001 330ci, when she depresses the brake pedal, it causes her headlights to flash or flicker, usually a flash every three seconds or so. Very rarely, they will flash without the brake pedal being depressed, but without fail will flash every time when applying the brakes? Any ideas on this strange issue would be of great help! Thank you
A first guess is there's a bad ground triggered by the brake light switch which in turn triggers the headlight circuit breaker. AFAIK, the headlights are on circuit breakers that way to prevent sudden total darkness in an over load.
