Darkhorse, do you think that ratio stays the same for the 5/6-speed manual as well?

the 3.07 ratio is for both 6-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox and the 6-speed Manual; and am not sure if that tranny is available in 5 speed(haven't come across a 5 speed yet).

Non zhp was 2.92, I believe. ZHP is 3.07. The differential off an automatic is 3.46. No LSD for any E46 outside teh M3, and that won't fit.
There aren't any LSDs from other BMW models that fit the E46. You can buy an aftermarket one, but I believe it will cost you about $3000
.
Good luck.
