Extended Warranties, Yes or No?

Hi All,

I just purchased a used '03 325xi and the original owner did not get any extended warranty when she purchased it from the dealer. So do you all recommend getting an 'extended warranty' for 'peace of mind' just incase something happens.

One local bmw dealer quoted me about $1600 for 100k or 2 years extended warranty only. I'm pending two other bmw dealers to call me back on pricing.

What do you all think, yes or no?

I doubt you will put 1600$ in repairs in the next 2 years. Keep the money and invest in boost

Ooops, correction!

$1600 /50k/2yrs was maintenance warranty (oil change, insp 1,2..)

Extended warranty is not available through BMW dealer but 3rd party is available.

We got the maintenance warranty for an 04 330Cic.

Brake replacement alone is $1400 and covered by warranty. We don't regret it at all. I prefer having BMW taking care of our car.

FYI: Warranty does not cover suspension.
