bmwawd is an unknown quantity at this point
so i went to the dealer to see the 06 /05 325i. i read on the window sticker that the body/engine is made in germany and the transmission is made in france. what,s with that? or has this been the norm and i,m just not up to speed ..

Yeah ! some 3 series have instaled transmission made in France by GM Strassburg,France ( nothing to do with an American General Motors) they are called GM5 , same tranny is also instaled on newer Cadilacs CTS and some Land Rovers.Others models like E46 320 i have transmissions made by a German company ZF, both are OK !
