| Welcome to Bimmerwerkz. If possible, take it to get the OBD Codes scanned. Since the CEL came on the computer would have stored the code that would have caused it. Finding out which code it threw will help you diagnose the issue.
Most auto parts stores have an OBD-II scanner and will do it for free. Or the dealership, but i cant say they wont try to charge you for it.
