Engine rebuild

I have a 328i and i want to get some work done to it. The engine has about 133,xxx on it but it's not running as well as when i first got it. I'm the third owner and from what i can see nothing has been done to it to make it lose power besides hard driving from the previous owners. i was wondering how much it would cost to get a complete engine rebuild and shave down the head to get increased power?

A few quick thoughts; you need to know exactly what components need replacement. And shaving the head to change the compression ratio should only be done with all the appropriate mods.

are there any kits to improve performance? and would the mods be expensive for the shaved head?

I don't know any details, but it would seem that the engine computer may need to be reflashed if you modify the compression ratio.
