| Engine racing/revving at cruise speed
Hi Everyone,
My 2001 318Ci engine has starting racing/revving, especially in 3rd gear, when just cruising e.g. 30mph. I keep my foot level to maintain constant RPM but the engine Revs pick up then down, the fuel mpg dial goes up and down as well, as expected I guess.
Also, when I start up the engine sounds quite "rough", a female friend enquired if it was a deisel the other day!! I would then rev the engine a little and it goes back to a nice quiet idle.....
If anyone can offer some advice i would appreciate it, thanks for reading.
