Engine Oil And Serivce Part Replacement

I have just got the full new 318i, the dealer said I don't need to change or replace the service parts including engine oil, air filter and oil filter until 24000km at the end of warranty. I wondered traditional car need to replace that material after 1000km and 5000km. Please advise who have any idea or practical experience for that??

My advice?
My car is brandnew as well and I won't be changing any oil till the car computer tells me to do so. (approx. after 24000km depending on how I drive the car)
