I have recently noticed that the yellow engine management light (I think that is what this light is called) occasionally comes on, on the dashboard and then goes off while the engine is running.
Can anyone help me and advise me whether this is anything serious?
I don't know if I'm imagining this but it seems like the engine sounds a bit different when idling - can anyone confirm if this is related to the appearance of the light coming on on the dashboard?
If you're talking about the "Service Engine Soon" light, yeah that could accompany a change in the sound of your engine. Find someone who will read the fault-codes for free from the diagnostic port under your hood, then post what the faults were.
