My car is back from service and work has been done on its rear seats and doors. I just noticed that there's a large empty space in the middle of the rear seats, just between the seat-belt buckles. It looks like as if something is missing there. I wonder if the servicemen forgot/lost a piece to put in there. I found a picture on the Internet, and to my surprise, the same hollow space seems to be there in that car's rear seat as well. It looks really weird. Could you guys please fill me in whether this is the normal usual case in all E46 sedans? (mine is 2005)
