Electrical Problems...

hey, iv got a 99 323i and its got some electrical problems... ghead if u do "good shifts" (smooth shifts) the car will sometimes start on its first try...but still even sometimes the car wont even crank on the first try the first pic is when the key is in the first position, when only the radio is on...when that doesnt turn on in the first position the car doesnt start. if it doesnt turn on there, it turns on along with the rest of the panel in the second position. )pic shown( then the last pic is when the key is in the first position and that turns on like normal then the car starts like normal as well. anyone know what the problem is? im thinking of reseting the ecu but im not sure, will reseting cause any damage even if it is not the problem? ty

The way you describe the symptoms is a very enigmatic to me(English is my second tounge ), but it looks to me like an ignition switch problem assuming that starter and battery is in good condition.

ok ty, il look into that. wat is wrong with the post that u dont understand? go to start car, it sometimes doesnt...

once again, what is wrong with the post? the first position is when u have the key in the ignition and u turn the key once "position 1" turn it twice "position 2" etc

it is an electrical problem, the engine turns over just fine if all of the electrical crap is in order

someone told me it may b faulty relays...and ill look into the ignition switch ty
