Newbie here. I have a 2002 330D and am having problems with the battery - wondered if anyone here could help. I'm not sure whether the battery has a problem or something is draining it, but the ECU sleep mode is making it difficult to tell if there is a drain or not.
When I meter the battery load, with the doors closed, car locket etc. it starts at 2.5A for about 30 secs, then goes down to 1.6A then down to a steady 0.8A after another 30 secs. Fairly sure the first loads are to do with the ECU performing checks but what about the 0.8A. I think this is too high but should I wait longer for the ECU to finish it's activity before trusting the reading a pulling fuses to see if anything is drawing excess current?
