E46 owners, it is easy to remove the plexiglass covering the gauges? Are there any surprises if I remove the screws at the top of the plexiglass? Have any of your installed chrome gauge rings and/or white faces on the dash gauges?
Yes, it is pretty easy to install gauge rings on the E46. There are a ton of videos on YouTube of explanations on how to do it. Just make sure you buy the snap in rings vs. the adhesive rings. The snap in rings make the process a million times easier.

First Time I did it in 1 hour, took care not to mess up anything, next time did it in half an hour and last time in 15 minutes.
It's realy easy an there are quite a few good DIYs that would help.
Good luck to anyone trying
