E90 key or Ignition problem

Have a 2006 318d se, had a bang to the front a while back deploying airbags.
Have since repaired vehilce, replaced airbags and modules and sensors but also lost the key in the process.
Ordered a new bladeless programmed key from the dealer.
Now when i try to insert the key into the slot the slot just keeps rejecting it out, it will not click into the space and stay.......
No idea why, can anybody please help????

you need to have at least one valid key to enable a new one, since you dont have one you will need to order a new CAS and programmed key kit

was a new key and programmed from the dealer, any other ideas?

I know it was programmed from the factory because it is vin coded, regardless your gonna have to get a new CAS and key set non comfort access cars can have 4 keys enabled at a time what is probably going on is you only have the first two keys enabled and keys 3-10 disabled the can only be changed with a gt1 or ista/D but still you need to have at least one of the original keys so a new one can be enabled and if the car has comfort access oonly two can be enabled at a time
