Hi,
I've currently got an e36 with some 19 x 8" wheels and 235/35/19 tyres but due to moving job I have to get rid of it.

I'm dreaming of getting an e46 coupe in 12 months time when hopefully my job will allow it. All I'm thinking now is whether its worth selling the wheels with the car or keeping them for the e46.
I see that the m3 convertible e46 has 225/35/19's at the rear and 225/40/19's at the front, so I guess there will be no fitment problems with the extra 10mm width even if I decide to lower the suspension on a coupe (which I understand the convertible already is).
Does anyone know what the biggest wheels/tyres you can fit on an e36 coupe or convertible? Are they 20" or 21"? Also is there a difference between the 2 models as the convertible is lower?
Any help is greatly appreciated and hopefully I'll be a e46 forum user rather than an e36 by the end of the year!
