e46 gauge cluster swap help

I have a 2001 325ci manual, recently the gauge cluster lcd that displays the miles time and temperature went wacko. I got on ebay and purchased a 2002 325ci gauge cluster but it was out of an automatic. I put the new cluster in my car and there is a major problem.

The DSC light is stuck on with no response from the button. Also when I let my e brake down the light goes from red to yellow but never shuts off. The speedometer doesn't work as well?!?!?! Is there something I need to do or is this auto cluster just not compatible with my manual vehicle?

The clusters are standard between the vehicles as far I know. The DSC light is common. Here is a good pictoral DIY on how to repair the cluster:
