I'm completely new to this site and would be grateful for any help possible
The engine warning light came on in our 320i and I purchased a fault code reader (quite impressed with it I must say). fault code P1345 has come up with the message as well saying misfire cyl 2 with fuel shut off. Would this be a plug or coil issue for the misfire though I am not sure what it means by fuel shut off,
Thanks in anticipation

Get a spark plug and see if you have a spark by connecting it to the cylinder 2 lead and resting the body of the spark plug against the engine block (metal). If you do have a spark, try changing the spark plug over and see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't, then listen to the injector to establish if its firing (put the pointy end of screwdriver against the injector body and the handle in your ear). If its not firing, then it may be faulty, if it is firing then it may be blocked.
Thanks for the quick response, I'll give it a go. Will need to get a new plug 1st from a halfords car spares dept this afternoon, I'll post back later
cheers!
Must be late night your time

Changed plug in cylinder 2 no lights came up on dashboard. Plugged in the code reader and no codes to be found.
can't imagine what the local bmw stealership would have charged.
Great result - Thanks
