E46 or E36?

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out which model to buy, E36 or E46. One important point to mention is that the roads in my area are quite rough so a sport supension would be torture for long journeys. Is there a great difference in the suspension between the 36 and 46? Which one is going to absorb the rough rough the best?
