E46 Delay on throttle.... :(

My E46 has a delay on the throttle, I was told this is a common problem, but has any one solved theirs?

Welcome to the Werkz.

Have a look around for a vacuum leak between the Air Mass Sensor and the intake manifold, could be cracked ducting, or failed manifold gaskets. A can of carby cleaner with a nozzel rather than a spray will help you be a little more focussed in your tracking down of leaks. Start the engine and let the idle settle, then start spraying variuos possible leak points. If the idle changes when you are in a particular point, you are probably on the right track.
Be cautious of sparying it onto the exhaust manifold and no smoking!!
