I have been a BMW owner for several years noe and i just bough a used 320ci coupe but i was wondering if we can make the necessary changes so that it has the 04 facelift on it. I don't believe it would be hard especially for the stop lights but what about the front trafficators?
Front trafficators? I've never heard that expression before.
The main obvious change is the fact that the 'indicators' curl up instead of down.
I'd imagine that this would require the body to be chopped ..... (I've already lost interest in this ideas merits) I think the kidney grills are a wider shape too.

If you look carefully, the body steel for the front fenders is very different.
There is a crease that goes the entire length of the E46 body on the years including '03. The '04 starts the new bulbous trend that many (including me) are turned off by.
For example, the '04 led taillights. Can't be installed on earlier years due to changes in the body steel.

the LED tails should fit...to my knowledge it is a perfect fit...the only issue would be wiring. A couple ppl i know have done the tail light upgrade and it turned out fine. The only thing that didnt really work was the bmw feature where if you step on the brakes hard it lights up more. (adaptive braking or whatever its called)
youll also have to replace your front fenders, side markers, hood+grille, headlights.
and if you want to go all out, youll need new rear bumper, new front bumper with new reflectors.
