e46 320d windows are slow - BMW Forum

Hi people,

My e46 front windows have slowed down dramatically when coming up. When they go down they are fine its just when they come up they are stupidly slow. I applied some soapy water to the rubber seals and its went back to normal for a couple of days and now they are even slower. I'm pretty sure it isn't the regulator. Any ideas on what i can do to sort this out??

Look under topic, 12.8.2 My window doesn't go all the way up/down or makes bad noises.
I'm sure that there is aslo some information here on this site. You'll just have to search around for it. The window regulators are one of the most common mechanical failures on the E46. There is lost of information out there on it and it is probaly one of the easiest fixes. Just make sure that you unplug the battery when doing it or you'll have problems with your airbag if you have one in the door, cause you'll have to remove it to get to some bolts.
