Question E46 318 i oil reset

Tried the method posted on U tube to reset oil service to 22000km, goes through the steps but the end result is no reset. Is the method different for the last of the 318 i E46 models ?

If you do your own servicing then why now buy a reset tool? Not expensive at all ;-)
