| E36 Parking Sensor fault
Help fellas!
The parking sensor on my 1998 BMW 323i Touring has recently developed a fault, in that, when engaging reverse gear, a continuous beep sounds. The handbook states that if this happens, with a higher-pitched beep than normal, there is a fault in the system. However, the beep I get is at the normal pitch and, when I do get close to an obstruction, it changes to the usual rapid beep (but this only happens when I am about 12-18" away - there is no slower beep before that).
I have read previous posts on this subject, but none seem to exactly replicate my problem. Any ideas please? |
