With the DSC on the left front brake will grab real hard within the first 1/2 mile of driving then the system will turn itself off. When I cycle the key it will reset to on but the problem comes back. Any ideas what might be going on?
Any dsc lights?
Could be your ABS/DSC controller going bad....

After it happens the DSC light stays on which indicates the system has shut itself off. As far as a bad caliper there is no problem with the DSC off. Also when it happens you can hear a growling from under the hood which I assume is the ABS motor. Seems to happen when I make a left turn. Once i was turning left at an intersection and once when I was coming back onto the road after pulling onto the shoulder.
It sounds like the ABS unit is playing up, diagnostics will pick this up if it is, but from what youve said "Growling" I would say the unit is on its way out, I pressume you have checked the fluid level ?, If thats ok def the unit.

Yep have to codes read! should tell you the issue what if you Manually turn the dsc off via the dsc button?

no problems if you turn it off. happened to me twice in 30 min. I turned it off for 2 days and have since been driving with it back on and have had no problems so far. I want to buy a code reader are the ones made by peake good for a diy'er.
