I bought a 325 Sport last year. 52 Reg 8000 miles in Imola Red. (See my signature )
It looks and drives superbly, but my only problem is with regard to the drivers seat. Having had a spinal fusion a number of years ago, I find the seat uncomfortable on long journeys and as there is no lumber adjustment, I'm struggling to sort out this problem.
I took the car into Westerleys of Barnstaple and they took the back off the seat and made some adjustments but still experiencing problems ghead
Any advice would be much appreciated. P.S the seats are heated, whether that makes a difference or not. Look forward to any feedback.
Maybe try to arrange a test drive in an e46 with non-sport seats. If you find those more comfortable then itd be easy to arrange a trade with someone since the sports seats are more desireable items.
You know, I've been trying to find a good pair of used sport seats for my E46 328i. AM NOT wiling to get rapped by the dealer at $3000 a peice. What color are yours?

I am still looking into it at the moment, but if I was to do some sort of trade with you, there maybe some transport issues as we are an the other side of the Atlantic from each other.
If all you need is lumbar support, a good upholstery shop can add a lumbar bladder to your existing seat. Just had one put in the wife's car. I think that it was made by Pirelli.
After speaking with a back specialist, he suggested that I reclined the seat more, so I am in a better posture and that has improved my problem slightly. Thanks for all your help
