Does An Air Intake For Bmw 323i Help???

my first time owning a bimmer... would any won happen to know how much more power would a cold air intake give??? and how about the regular short ram one???

Actual power varies. Most of the time, gains are noticed more so with a chip in conjunction with the intake. Gains, with the chip could be around 10hp. Maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more. Alot of manufactures claim much higher gains, I'm trying to be reserved with this as I haven't had one installed yet nor have I dynoed the car before or after to see for my self the true gains.

Be aware that some intakes are for sound purposes rather than pure gains, at least, that's my opinion.

Look here for some gain information provided by the website. I can't garantee that it'll be 100% correct as I haven't done any dyno with that myself. But just as an example.

Scroll down to the bottom, you'll see an E46 323i intake. Don't forget that there are many out there at all different prices for both the intake and chip.

yeah, the actual intake might give you ~10 extra hp, and the cheap could give you ~10hp as well, all depends on what you buy and what not....

advanced flow engineering dynos their cars before/after. you can call them, and buy their stuff much cheaper than msrp at bavauto. i bought their intake for my car, have not installed yet. i paid about $270.
