| I have a 2000 323i, I talked with a BMW tech recently and is told him about some issues that had me concerned with my car. When I am driving my car the front suspention creaks, Like when I am turning the wheel, going over bumps and even when I get out of my car. I seem to notice it a lot when I am running the A/C. THe BMW tech said my Control Arms probably need to be replaced, he said it was common with my car and said they updated the control arms in like 2001 or 2002, so if mine got fixed they would get the updated ones. I asked why it happens when I have the A/C on and he said it was because the car was getting hot, ( I think he said it was making the rubber bushings expand or something when hot) I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or If this sounds right. also he said something about the springs on the car weren't coated well that year and they could start to rust so if I notice the car dipping too much than the springs could be bad. |
