| Cost comes to aronud $450 installed +/- for a factory alarm installation, had mine installed just last month.
To activate the factory alarm, lock your doors with the remote, waite a few seconds, and press and hold the trunk release button on the remote, a siren should sound.
If not, here's another way to check, open a window, then lock doors, wait some time, then wave a hand inside, if the motion detector for the factory alarm is installed, i should "see" the hand moving inside the vehilce and activate the alarm.
