Do all BMW's have factory alarms?

I recently bought a 2002 325 CI and I'm not sure if it has an alarm. It doesn't make the chirping sound my other vehicles do when I lock it. I have the big red bulb on the bottom of my rear view but it never does anything.

Any help would be great.

No, I believe they all come with auto locks (US Spec anyway), but mine did not come with an alarm system. Who wants the annoying beeping anyways

You from Mooresville? I went to HS long ago at SIHS.

No. However, most of them since the early 90s (maybe even late 80s) come prewired for the factory alarm system, just in case you want an alarm.

Thanks for the help. I moved here about 7 years ago. Love it here. It's changed a lot in the last 7 years.

It changed tons in the past 15 years... before it became "Race City".

I remember always getting 103 octane fuel on the outskirts of town for my '65 Fury... was one of the few places around to pick it up. I first moved down that way when Troutman had a single stoplight, and lots on the big mud puddle (Lake Norman) were actually available without selling your soul.
