I was thinking the same thing. The noise made me jump this morning. Would love to get rid of it.

Unplug the temperature sensor in the brake duct.

Thx didn't think of that. The dam thing keeps alternating between -30C then +40C and keeps beeping every 30 seconds. Sorry to be a dumb ass but can you elaborate on where I can find it. Not sure where the brake duct is!

The brake duct is right next to the fog light. If you look underneath, you will see a little thing that is sticking out. That's your sensor.

Great, found it. that would explain why it stopped working after I hit a fox at 90mph! It took out the fog light and obviously a little bit more!

Hey ragj,
I have the same problem just that it goes from -40 to +30s and etc.. Do you know what is the cause of this? Seems to be an error with the sensor. Im not sure if taking out the sensor is a good way to solve the problem? One thing i want to figure out is why the heck it does that? and if there is a way to correct it besides unplugging the sensor?

Mr Peeta,
Sounds like your sensor is broken. Mine broke and it used to move from one end (-40) to the other end (+40) Centigrade for about a week. Just check under the front wheel by the fog light and order a new one.

Good luck

Rich

This definitly sounds like a broken sensor. When they are broken, they start to give out the wrong readings.
