My cas is 133k. e46 n42
i saw a dipping oil under my car at my parking place
i observe from my car
1--- i saw some oil leak from under oil filter and oil heat exchange beside it. so i fix it.
2--- i saw some oil leak from valve cover gasket. it dip onto the exhaust pipe.
therefore when i started my car in the morning, it had white smoke from engine bay. it smelled like oil burn. so i change valve cover gasket.

i not sure whether i have to change engine crank gasket too beacuse after i fix no.1 and no.2 above. But some oil still dipping on the floor

or am i missing some other point of this engine...

Thank for your help....

Clean off the engine and try to isolate the location of the drip. Placing sheets of paper underneath will help with this. Once you find where it's coming from you can start to trace the leak.

i jack up my car ...
i open reinforcement plate underneath the car...

try to observe where is the dipping oil come from.
From bottom view i can see the leak from oil pan gasket which i gonna fix it.
At the same time i'm gonna change Engine suspension rubber both left and right.

i also see some oil leak at the corner of the engine valve cover the most inner left corner there is a device attached to it.. i'm not sure is it "Vacuum pump"(see the link of picture below). i think it is come from O-ring of the vacuum pump which is directly above the exhaust pipe.

Am i right?

It's fully possible. I would need to see pictures to be certain it was that. But for the cost of the o ring it would be worth it to replace it. Seals and O rings age with time and can leak.

i don't know whether i can take a photograph for you to see it or not.
coz.. from bottom view up to the engine .. i have to see it through
a small gap of exhaust pipe which is close to my face.
it is very hard for me to see it clearly because it is pretty far from the
bottom view i pretty sure there is some oil leak from no.2 of the link i gave last post.

And if i go from top view the vacuum pump is the most inner left of the
corner of the engine which has a very small space left to the passenger
compartment. That 's why i cannot see the leak from top view...

this is really hard time for me to see it clearly what happenning behind
that small space....:(
