default to navigation system on start - BMW Forum

Is there anyway to get your car to default to the navigation system on start up. i hate having to go through the menus to have the map up come up. I usually don't even bother doing it. Can it just default to the map when the car is turned on.

My car is at the dealer today, so they're gonna see if they can change it. I'll let you guys know..

The dealer says this is not possible. There is a legal thing that comes up which you have to hit okay to everytime. That kinda sucks, but nothing i can do i guess.

Does anyone know any way to by pass this??

Option 1:
Get the dealer to install the UK settings. In this mode, units of measurement are supposed to change as well (yards, km/h and others I am told).

Option 2:
Install an older version of the NAV software, and then a newer version afterwards. There's supposed to be a 'bug' that removes the disclaimer screen. New version is V-19 according to the bimmer.roadfly.org board

Option 3:
Look at THIS LINK for information on a module that will do it for you.
