I would have to say it's a worth while mod.

I don't have xenons, so I cant comment on the fitment issue. I got my car with the dinan intake and just the other day found that you can remove that plastic piece to get the ram air effect. Problem is the filter was caked in dirt so i can't really tell if the sudden boost in performance was due to the ram air, or the filter cleaning. But I can say that I got in a squirmish with a 911 turbo, and a M3 coupe. Of course the 911 beat us both, but I actually was right there with the m3 all the way to 130 when we let off. I just have intake and exhaust (both Dinan). That race happened after the filter cleaning and the ram air mod.
I would HIghly recommend keeping that plastic piece for the rainy season. It wouldn't be too bright for you to drive with it like that in the rain
