Creaking

My 01 330xi has a creak coming from left front wheel area when steering wheel is turning back and forth in normal city driving, also when going over small bumps. what is this?

it kinda sounds like a swy bar drop link. or it could be a lower ball joint. do you notice and knocking sounds also when you go over bumps?

yes it creaks when I go over bumps. I don't hear it at hiway speeds though. Thanks

it is kinda hard to distinguish between the two if they are both bad but i would get your lower ball joints and sway bar links checked out. these are common problems among all BMW's
