Covered under warentee?

Hey,
I just have a quick question. I have a 2002 330ci and it has about 36000 miles on it but I got the extended full warentee. Just to make sure, I am about to bring the car to them and see if they will replace my steering wheel, due to deterioration (grr) but I dont know if it is covered under the regular warentee and/or the extended. Is there a difference or any restrictions when you extend it?
