I currently have an Audi A4, but im looking to sell it and get either a 328 CI or a 330 Ci (both E46). And i was wondering once i buy the car and maintence aside, what kind of prices am i looking at when trying to get some more power, b/c no matter how much power i will at some point want more. How much is that gonna be to get a decent power upgrade. I mean like 30- 100 hp. Now im a just a college student so im not gonna have much to spend on my car and ill prolly have to save for every part. Could u guys post some links that u have for good performance part retailers?
Also of the above cars (2.8 or 3.0) which is more mod friendly or would be a better engine to have all around?
Even with all these options, you *might* see a 30hp boost. I have the 2.8 and love it, but obviously the 3.0 starts you off with more hp.
Check bavauto.com or turnermotorsports.com for most parts.

Agreed to get 80-100 HP you would need to take the forced induction route. $6-$7 K for the kit and $1500 install. If your planning on getting supercharged, you may want to hold off on the CAI since it would be removed (except in twin screw systems). Software upgrades will also be replaced by FI tuning which should come with your kit.
And quite honestly, if you had the money, you could buy a Super-Sprint exhaust system that replaces everything from your exhaust manifolds on back. Several grand just for the parts, but your gains would be more than the typical cat-back.
