Cost of ownership for E46 (maintenance)

I just want a general ideas on how much everyone has spend on their car.
Please indicate the year, model and ownership period.

If major repair was done, please indicate whether it was cover by warranty or out of pocket from you. It would be great if you guys can give me a breakdown. In addition, how much a typical tune up if it was done by independent mechanic shop (I'm located in Portland,OR). Thanks for all your help.

1. Less than $1K
2. $1K-2K
3. $2K-3K
4. More than $3K

2000, 328i, 85K miles

Intake camshaft sensor at 65K miles, fuel filter at 82K miles. O2 sensors are acting up a bit, might be near the end of their life. Oil changes every 7,500 miles, air filter and cabin filter once a year, hot-soak and DIY tune-up once a year.

Oh, and I replaced one set of bald ContiTours with PZeros.

In the 15 months I've owned it, maybe $860 in maintenance and replacements, but I'm a DIY. Dealer charges would've been closer to $1900. Pending O2 sensors are $400 for parts.

$860 may seem like a lot, but the tires were 2/3 of that number. Today's Lesson: Bimmers and their drivers peel vulcanized rubber.

NOTHING.

my choice: new rubber (stock did not need replacing), new pads, brake lines and rotors. all still in fine shape on the car, at 24k.
