328iROCKSTAR is an unknown quantity at this point
i just bought a Certifed Pre-Owned 2000 328i about 3 weeks ago and the coolant light came on 3-4 times while driving. I checked the coolant and the level seemed to be just right... until it started to LEAK.

I've posted about this in a previous thread earlier. Be sure that nothing is leaking and no smells are coming out. I had it towed over to the dearlership in which I bought it and serviced it for a good $400. Problem was that my water pump and thermostat housing had to be replaced due to leakage.

just thought I'd give my half...

Coolant leaks do not always mean a pool/spots of antifreez under the car!! can be very small leaks, can escape via exhaust (while smoke). Also check your coolant sensor (bad one may give wrong readings).
