Convertible Top Care

Has anyone used the BMW Impregnator Liquid on their convertible top. I know, I know. No jokes about what it's called. It is the weatherproofing agent . The car care booklet that came with my new 330CIC says to use it every 3 to 5 times the car is washed. It seems totaly crazy to me. The stuff costs $33.00 at the dealer, and as a new owner I wash the thing at least once a week.

I don't use anything on my top. The salesperson who sold me my car also has a convertible and he told me to just spray it down without soap and scrub it with a really soft brush. The detergents and treatments will supposedly fade the top. I have a 94 and other than a few stiches it still looks brand new.

you could, or you could send the money to me. when our e30's top gets dirty we do what ^^^^ this guy said...or use a lint roller for dust and what not
