"Control module failure?" 2003 330 CI
*All fuses checked and are okay.
*Battery checked and is okay.
#1: Windows are slowly rolling down on their own. (Jus tlike when you normally open/close the door, the window will nudge up/down. Even when the car is off, the windows (driver & passenger side only, not rear) are nudging down on their own and will not go back up!
#2: All window buttons are inoperable. Up/Down is dead, does nothing.
#3: Back light on gauges is out.
#4: Seat belt light stays on despite seat belt being buckled.
#5: Stock GPS unit stopped working, screen flashes on/off but is a blank screen.
#6: Stock GPS buttons light up (1-6 keys), but unit will not turn on.
#7: Small square CPU screen in the middle of guages is still on and works (shows the outside temp, time, mpg, etc..)
#8: Climate controls work, same with heated seats.
#9: Sunroof will not open/close/
Result: I brought my car to my local import car mechanic and he told me right away that there is nothing he can do. Only a certified BMW dealership can "re-program" the "Control module."
Update: Brought my 330Ci to the Porsche/BMW dealer here in Michigan. Already a couple hundred dollars into labor charges and the result was "they didn't know yet." The dealer mentioned that the entire steering column and center counsel would have to be removed.
PLEASE HELP! Any professionals with in-site to this issue who can reply to this post would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
