We are the proud owners of an Electric Red 2004 325i sedan with the performance package as well as the interior package. This is our 6th BMW in 27 years starting with a '76 2002. The performance package includes Continental tires: 225 45 R 17". I have used Michelin tires on most of my cars and my late '94 BMW had Contis I believe but don't know how these tires will hold up, mileage wise. This is my wife's car so it won't get much serious cornering, and we will take some trips but mostly around the SF Bay area. What kind of mileage should I expect from these tires? I would like 30,000 to 40,000 but don't know much about this type of tire. Is there a lot of wear from low speed scrub while turning? If anyone has experience with this tire I would appreciate a heads-up on low mileage. Incidentally, the car looks great with the low profile tires on top of its good looks anyway.
