I have posted a couple of times before but is anyone aware of how to connect a MP player to the colour sat nav - is their a jack or anyting like that hidden behind the dash?
The dealer has been of no help and I really want to do this but FM transmitters are banned in the uk and the sat nav has a cd player not a tape deck -
is there really no one that can help me with this problem?
I had a phone guy come to the car to fit a phone car kit and he said that all the connectors for the stereo and phone etc are in the boot if you have the colour sat nav as the head unit is not easy to remove -
someone out there must have some experience with this - the dealer that the car came from could not help!
Later model (2000? and up) US cars have an aftermarket audio input jack available from dealers for about US$40. It connects to the stereo head unit and receives the audio output jack from an MP3 player or any other audio output source with a 1/8th inch plug.
I do not know where on the head unit the connection is made.
They might but I want to be sure that the cable is for UK spec cars - I am not sure if the sat nav is different - I am not sure but I think I saw a made in France label when I took the housing off to look for possible cables
also the shipping might be high for what basically is just a cable
