So i was just about to order some angel eyes $90 from Jlevi and i was looking on e46 fanatics and found this thread saying you can make em your self, would you reccomend this? Is it really cheaper or better?
Unless you are really familiar with all the technology involved, I wouldn't really recommend it... And, yes it's pretty simple, but a good understanding of the physics of light is helpful and not something that everybody has. The alternative is trial & error, but it's tough to beat $90 to get the look that you want. I've gone down this road a few times (not for Angel Eyes, but other products), and I usually have to re-do the creation/install a couple of times to get it the way I want - by which time it ends up costing at least the same amount (for me, usually more!). I guess when I think about spending $90, I question just how much savings I could acheive by fabricating stuff myself (and would it really look better)...
However, if you're really into DIY stuff, you are sure to find lots of topics about DDEs/Angel Eyes...
Just my $.02
