Confused - 1.9ltr E46 2001 Y plate

Hello All

New proud owner of a 14k E46 318i, Year 2000 on a Y plate. I was told that teh car has a 1.9 litre engine. Did the earlier 318i have 1.8. Also Is my car 1895cc or 1995cc?

As i also hear some 318i come with 2ltr.

I do not have the facelift model. Howeverthe dealer told me the car has a M aero kit I on. Anyone seen this before? I have not aseen a BM with this kit on yet. I also thing a spiler is missing. Anyone know which one came with this kit?

Finally what BHP do i have as I heard that teh same engine can have different BHPs'.

The 2 liter N42 Valvetronic was used in the e46 318i starting in 2002. Another engine used in the e46 318 was the dual-Vanos M44TU, which came in a 1.6 and a 1.8. If you have a 1.9 (more precisely, 1895cc), then you have an N43TU, SOHC 8V powerplant rated at 118bhp.

BMW usually offers M-tech or some other sports aero kits. I am prety sure I have seen e46s with them. What spoiler do you think you are missing? The trunk lid spoiler was an option that came with a premium, so if you don't have one, it very well may be because the original owner didn't think it was worth the money.
